Ett Trykk August 2011 - Crosslifting Card #1

In August 2011 issue of Ett Trykk we had an article about crosslifting and this is the first card I crosslifted.

I lifted Gry Anette's beautiful LO.

 The card is for a confirmand.

 Here are some close details of the card.

 The inside of the card was inspired by my dear friend Hanne.

The back of the card is matching the inside.

Inkido ~ Spring 2011 Papers

It is finally time for me to show you the new papers I've designed for Inkido, Spring 2011.

The collection is called "Is This Love?".

There are 6 papers in this collection and I'm so happy to announce that this is my first double sided paper collection.

These papers are not available for sale yet. I will let you know as soon as they reach the retailers :)

Inkido ~ Steampunk Tag Card

I've seen some really cool steampunk cards lately and I had to try one myself. I used two tags as a base for the card. I sew them together at the ends with my sewing machine. All supplies for this project are from Inkido.

I added a black lace to the edge of the tags and fastened the ends with a buton and some black thread. The green paper is Mathea Woodbine. I inked the edges of the papers and the tags with Distress Ink Brushed Corduror. I also sprayed them with Glimmer Mist Tattered Leather.

The metal closk is from Tim Holtz. The leaf is painted with Vintage Photo crackle paint, sprayed with Glimmer Mist Tattered Leather and distressed with some black ink. Behind the clock is some homemade wrinkled ribbons and an old book sheet(stamped with the stars stamp).

Inside the tag car dI used the star stamp on the edges of the light panels.

The vintage image is also from Inkido and was covered in Crackle Accents.

At the back of the card I used the compass stamp on an old book sheet. I inked with black ink and added some Crackle Accents on top. The Crackle Accents was also used on the grunge paper strip(Tim Holtz).

Vintage Paper Bag Card

Many of you ask me where I buy all my personal stamps. I get them from Loongchai74 on ebay. They are very cheap and the shipping is fast, even to Norway. The quality is super and I think I have bought about 13-15 different personal stamps from this shop. Highly recommended :)

Christmas is over and it's time to start creating cards for other occations. My mother ordered a birthday card for her friend's birthday and this is what I made. I was inspired by Michelle's fabulous paper bag cards.

Tha paper bag was folded and sewn on 3 sides, so it makes a pocket. I inked the edges woth brown ink. Papers are from SU and was sewn and inked on edges too.

The slider closure was made with a paper strip and paper circles in different sizes. I added some white tulle under the circles and the numbers are white foam stickers which I inked with brown ink.

This is how the back of the card looks. I used one of my personal stamps and a postage stamp from Inkido.

Here you'll see how the pocket opens and the tag inside. For the tag I also used some pastage stamps from Inkido and a sentiment from Stempelglede.

Vintage Christening Card

This vintage christening card is made for Christina's christening in December. I've used a brown paper bag as the base of the card. I folded it and sew all the edges except the top. That way it becomes a nice tag card. The pink paper is one of my Spring 2010 designs for Inkido - Tuva Satin Pink. I also used some white corrugated cardboard and an old book sheet to give the card some dimension with different textures. The vintage swirl embellishment and the fabric brad are from Panduro. The lace is from my stash.

The cute image is from a sheet of vintage images from Ladybug and Friends. I used scalloped circles from Spellbinders to make the panels of corrugated cardboard behind the image. The alphabet stickers and pearl brads are from MM,  and the tag from Prima.

For the tag I used the doily hearts lace punch from Martha Stewart, and postal stamp from Inkido.

 At the back of the card I used two of my personal stamps. The butterfly shape is from a Stampin Up die.

Inkido Vintage Images

This card was made with one of the new vintage images from Inkido. The papers are my own designs for Inkido. They were distressed on the edges with the Tim Holtz Distress tool. I used the stamps God Jul 27 and Stilla Natt. Flowers, ribbon and leaves are also from Inkido.

More Inkido Quick Christmas Cards

Here are more photos and details of the other cards I made with my tutorial on how to make quick Christmas Cards. You can look at the tutorial HERE.
The ribbons on these cards are vintage wrinkled ribbons I have died and wrinkled myself :) The rest of the supplies are from Inkido.

 The sentiment have been stamoed with Archival Ink Maroon and the snowflakes with Archival Ink Coffee.

 The collage stamp have been stamped with Archival Ink Sepia and clear embossed.

 The image is from Ladybug and Friends vintage papers.

 I embossed the collage stamp with white and the angel is from a Ladybug and Friends vintage paper.

 The image was stamped with Archival Ink Sepia and then clear embossed.

 I stamped the image with Archival Ink Cobalt.

Tutorial ~ Inkido Quick Christmas Cards

 

Today I want to show you how to make some quick Christmas cards. All supplies in this tutorial are from Inkido(except the tools).  

 Cut a piece of Kraft cardstock to 4x12".

 Score the cardstock first at 2"....

...and then at 7 1/4".

 The carstock looks like this when you have folded it.

 Tear the edge of the smallest flap.

 Use brown ink to distress the edges. I used the Distress Tool and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink from Ranger.

Cut a piece of white cardstock to 3 3/4" x 4 1/4". Use a border punch on the top of the tag.

 Distress the edges of the tag with brown ink.

 On the front of the card I stamped the Stars stamp with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

 I used the same ink to stamp the Old Letter stamp to a piece of white cardstock.

Use a snowflake punch to punch out a snowflake from the stamped paper. I used Himalayan Snowflake  punch from Martha Stewart.

I also punched two other snowflakes in white cardstock. The punches I used are Scandinavian Snowflake and Arctic Snowflake from Martha Stewart.

Adhere the snowflakes to the front of the card(over the stars) with glue dots. I used a blue pearl bling on top of the snowflakes. I used some Stickles on the snowflakes to make them sparkle.

I punched two holes through the flap and the back of the card and used some blue organza ribbon to decorate.

This is how the finished card loks inside.
